Welcome to Mary's message, leading hearts to Jesus today, the podcast where we listen to the voice of the blessed mother and allow her to guide us ever closer to her son in our modern world. I'm Cristy Murray, along with Father Perry Kenaston, and each week we explore stories of faith. We ha are done with Lent for this year and last week we did the Good Shepherd and now we're back to concentrating on, um, the Blessed Mary. So this week we are going to focus on the Immaculate Heart of Mary because May is dedicated to her. So you wanna start us with prayer? Yes. In the name of the Father and the Sonin, the Holy Spirit. Amen. Oh, that Heart of Mary, full of goodness. Show your love toward us. Let the flame of your heart, oh Mary, descend on all people. We love you immensely. Impress true love in our hearts so that they may have a continuous desire for you. Oh, Mary, gentle and humble of heart. Remember us when we are in sin. You know that all humankind sins. Give us by means of your immaculate heart spiritual health. Let us always see the goodness of your monthly heart and may be converted to by means of flame of your heart. Amen. Amen. So, as, as Christy was saying, this is Mary is, uh, Mary's month. So we're gonna devote our, our sharings and everything else towards Mary. And that this first one here tells basically the, uh, the origin of the immaculate heart of Mary. So let's begin. The church celebrates the memorial of the Immaculate Heart of Mary every year on Saturday following the solemnity of the sacred heart of Jesus. This feast holds profound significance that extends for far beyond a simple devotion. Immaculate heart represents Mary herself and serves us. And our pathways to holiness. In this article, we take a close look at the Immaculate heart of Mary, as outlined in the brilliant explaining the faith video by Father Charles alter more than just an emotion. The immaculate heart of Mary mirrors the sacred heart of Jesus. Jesus Sacred of heart is Jesus himself, which is what, why We celebrate a feast of sacred heart. Mary's immaculate heart is, is Mary herself, which is why we celebrate this memorial. The best way to practice devotion to the immaculate heart of Mary involves making ourselves immaculate. This transformation occurs through the sacraments. God transforms us from spiritual poverty into his beautiful children through baptism, confirmation, and holy communion. The vision that changed everything. The divi, the devotion to the Immaculate Art of Mary received its most detailed explanation, not at Adam in 1917, but through two crucial Apparitions to St. Lucie years and later on December 10th, 1925. Blessed Virgin appeared to St. Lucie in her convent. In Smay. Jesus appeared with her, his mother as a child standing on a cloud. Mary showed her heart covered with thorns and surrounded by roses, the rosary, which means crown of thorns. Jesus spoke these words, having compassion on her, on the heart of your, your most holy mother. With which ungrateful men pierced at every moment as there is no one to take or make an act of reparation to remove the wounds of her heart. Mary then revealed her promise, see my daughter, the heart encircled by thorns with which ungrateful men pierced it as every moment by their blasphemy and in gratitude. Do you at at least try to console me? Tell them that I promise to assist at the hour of death with the graces necessary for salvation. All those who, in order to make reparation for me on the first Saturday of five consecutive months go to confession, receive communion, save five decades of the rosary and keep me. Company for a quarter of an hour meditating on the mysteries of the rosary. This is otherwise known as the First Friday devotions. Heavens Plan for Salvation. Sister Jesus sister Lucy, emphasized that devotion to the America and heart was essential, non-optional. Our Lady of Fatima provides the answer to reverse the deterioration. Of peace and morals in our world. This begins with two requirements, the daily rosary and the devotion to the amount of art to Mary. Mary promised Jesus wishes to make us a, a view to make known and love. He wants to establish in the world, devotion to my immaculate heart. I promise salvation to those who embrace it. Five few devotions promise salvation. This one does. Merry explanation that souls embracing this devotion will be loved by God, like flowers placed by me to adore his holy throne. The mystery of the united hearts. Why does Jesus? Want his mother, immaculate heart, venerated alongside his sacred heart. Sister Lucy provided this answer. He was, it was in this heart that father placed his son as if it were in the first tabernacle. The blood of Jesus was the blood of Mary for nine months in her womb. They shared the same blood. The blood came from her immaculate heart. The heart of Christ beat in Unen with the heart of Mary. The Eucharist connection sister Lucy, revealed the permanent connection between the immaculate heart and the Eucharist from their mother's heart. Children receive their natural love and love giving blood. Jesus received his humanity. And nature for Mary's heart and life giving blood. Sister Lucy explained it is the body received from Mary that is Christ becomes a victim offered for the salvation of humankind. It is the blood received from Mary that circulates in Christ's veins, which pours out from his divine heart. It is the same body and blood received from by Mary that are given to us under the appearance of bread and wine at our daily Food Saturday. Mother Mary's Day. The Memorial of the Immaculate Heart of Mary always falls on Saturday following the sacred heart of the Feast of Fadi. This timing holds deep significance. Saturday represents the day. When creation was completed, God rested on the seventh day. In parallel, Jesus rested in the womb of Mary and in their loving arms from birth to death. God rested on Saturday after creation. His son rested in Mary throughout his CLE life. Saturday serves as Mary's Day because. God rested in Mary. Hence, we honor her on salvation and preparation for Sunday, the Lord Day of resurrection. The pass to triumph, the triumph of the immaculate heart of Mary equals both the consecration of of Russia, Russia, and the faithful practice of First Friday devotion. Many believe Russia has been consecrated by the Holy Father, but the first Saturday remains an incomplete. The first Saturday devotion requires five consecutive months of one going to confession. Two, receive and holy communion. Three. Praying five decades of the rosary and lastly, meditating for 15 minutes on the mysteries after completing. Five First Saturdays, continue the practice. Like athletes continue spiritual conditioning requires ongoing efforts. Now, Jesus explained to Sister Lucia why First Fridays, Saturdays were required five types of blossoming wounds. Marries immaculate heart, ate against her, immaculate conception, ate against her perpetual virginity. Against her divine mater. Maternity PLA is of those who still hatred of marriage and children. Plam is of those who revile her sacred image. Mary requires this devotion not from pride, but to secure forgiveness for those who bla him against her through our reparation. God's mercy, pardon souls who often her. The Immaculate Conception conduction. The immaculate conception is because of the immaculate way she was born. God's greatest act of mercy ever bestowed upon a human creature was pre preserving Mary from original sin from the very beginning of her existence. Scripture supports this truth. When the angel Gabriel said, hail full of grace, and the Greek word means one most transformed by grace. This greeting indicates Mary's possession permanently and uniquely Grace in the very beginning, in generous 3, 5, 15, provides additional proof. God declared completely en entity between Satan. And the woman who would bear the one to crush Satan's head. If Mary had any stain of of sin, she would be particularly under sa. Satan's influence making God's promise False. The triumph of the immaculate heart begins with in individual hearts, your heart because, and becomes immaculate through the sacraments. This represents the only guaranteed form of grace that transforms us from spiritual poverty into God's beautiful children. The sacraments accomplished this transformation. Baptism cleanses us, confession restores us, and holy communion nourishes earth of Christ's body and blood, the same body and blood he received. Marriage mem act the conception, living. The devotion today. Devotion to the immaculate heart of Mary means imitating Mary's purity and obedience. When Gabriel announced God's plan, Mary responded with her fiat. Let it be done unto me. According to your word, this devotion requires daily cooperation with Gods and grace through daily rosary. Regular reception of sacraments monthly. First Saturday observances. Meditation on Mary's virtues and consecrating to her immaculate heart. Mary's promise of Fatma. In the end, my immaculate heart will triumph. The triumph occurs when hearts worldwide. Honor the immaculate heart. Alongside the sacred heart. The tribe will end the heirs of Russia, atheism, communism, materialism. An attacks on family life. True peace requires a rightly ordered society. Born of a culture of life created through evangelization. We have not yet reached this era of peace, but we can prepare for it. The triumph begins in your heart through devotion to marriage. You match that heart and the faithful reception of the sabut. Final guidelines. The Immaculate heart of Mary represents more than devotional piety and embodies God's plan for salvation working through the heart that gave Jesus his de humanity. This heart preserved from the sins. Corruption serves as our model of refuge. Mary's immaculate heart leads us to Jesus. Not away from him. Through this devotion practice faithfully through the first Saturdays and daily prayer, we prepare for the promise triumph, when peace will reign and our hearts will be transformed. The path of holiness passes through Mary's immaculate heart to the sacred heart of Jesus. This devotion authentically by heaven itself. It offers the graces necessary for salvation to all embrace it with sincere love. So my friends, let us answer the heaven. And these call let us make reparation to the immaculate heart and prepare our hearts for the coming of our savior, Jesus Christ. And so my friends, that begins it, huh? If I remember correctly, and Chrissy can remind me of this. But I think there's a devotion out there about a 30 days or something like that, devoted to our blessed mother. And then at the end of that there's a consecration. Yeah, we did. It's called, um, consecration to Mary's Mantle. It's, um, let me grab the book. Yes it is. So it's this book right here. It's, yeah, Mary's Mental Consecration and it's 46, 48 days account. And when they, when may they buy that? If they wanted it? What's that? Where were they? Can they buy that? Um, they can get it from Amazon or there's a website. The website is, I can put it on our show notes too, but the website is Queen of Peace Media. The author is Christine Watkins and she's also part of the Radio Maria Show, which. I listen to a lot of their shows. Mother Dan Ri Hill's Show. Yeah, so go to queen of peace media.com and she has all the information. But this one is it's uh, Mary's Mental Consecration. It's 46 days and you get 46 people to gather. Or you know, if you don't get 46 people, you kind of just divvy up how many days one person will fast. So when I did it there was. 22 of us. So some people had to fast for two days and you're, you're assigned a day so you don't have to worry about anything. And then, so every day I send out an email about what virtue it is for that, for that day, who's fasting for the whole group for that day. And we all say rosary to help, you know, spiritually strengthen that person. And we have, we have. We have intentions that we set before we begin, and then, so in the end of the con the end of the 46 days, we have a consecration to Mary. And then, yeah, so like every Saturday we actually meet as well, or you can pick a day where we meet in Zoom and then we do, we watch video, we do some reflections and yeah. Father, I believe in some of those Saturdays you were present as well. So we are really grateful that you were there to guide us with, with the video and what we were talking about for that week. And it's really great because you're it's a community. You're not doing the consecration alone and you know you have help. Well, I didn't, yeah, didn't we meet together for the cons actual consecration? We would. Did not meet in person. We did it all like the final one. We did it all on Zoom because some people were okay outta state. Yeah, and it's the beauty of this too. You don't have to meet face to face. You can if you want to, especially if you're doing it as a parish, but you can do it as a group and people can be living anywhere, which is wonderful. 'cause I invited people on YouTube and people were contacting me, they wanting to join, which is great. You make these friendships through Mary people that you don't, you know, haven't really met. Okay. Well, it might be something that down the road we might think about doing. Yeah. With Zoom and everything else like that. Yep. Especially since May is marriage month, you know? We'll have to talk about that and see how, see how we can arrange that. Yeah. We have the technology now we do. It just takes a little bit of planning, but yeah. Yeah, I know this won't be the first time we we're doing it, so it should be, we're a little bit of pros now. We have technology, we have people, we learned how to navigate things. Yeah. I mean, it is just a thought, you know, because mm-hmm. She what a bouquet that would be for mama to be able to just, to do that, you know? Uh, we'll have to talk about, uh. Our Lady of Seas Saint Elizabeth Van Seton's Parish too. As far as, yeah, maybe we can do it at the parish. Actually, one of the, one of the women that joined us for this group, last time, she, a few weeks after the, after we finished a consecration, she was texting me. She said, thanks for putting the group together. So now, because now she says the rosary every day. Yeah. 'cause I think that's, might be able to. Convince Amy of just putting it in the bullet and maybe, and mm-hmm. Kinda going from there. I don't know Yeah. How that works. But, but anyway, so my friend, well, Christy, do you have any questions in reference to, uh, for the good father? I do. So there's um, there's first Friday devotions and is that like eight or nine first Fridays? And that's for the sacred heart of Jesus. Yeah. Then there's five first Saturdays, which is consecration to the immaculate heart of Mary, which today is actually a first Saturday. Yep. And then so when you, so the requirements are of course you're living life of consecration and you go to confession, and then you receive communion, and then you meditate on the mysteries of the rosary for 15 minutes. Yeah. And it's, my friends, it's, you know, it's real easy to do. What you have to do is just go clicky, click here on the laptop or just in your heart, so to speak, you know, and, and, and get the guidelines right there that we'll put on the, on the notes, and it tells you exactly what it is. And it's just like with a divine mercy prayer. It's all right there for us. You know, the, the beauty of the electronic age is that it is all right there. All you have to do is go clicky, click and it's right there, you know? Yeah. We have technology, we have just, we just have to use it the right way. Correct. Yep. Yeah. And that's it. You know, I, uh, you know, I'm, I'm learning to do things and everything else, and I'm working. I'm working right now to summarize my, uh, well, my part of the project Rachel Retreat that we did that Janet and I did this last week, so that'll and then we're supposed to report back to the group. Yeah. But how we did and everything else like that. But, uh, maybe we can have an episode about Project Rachel one of these days. Yeah. I think it would be a good idea because that's a, you know, it was many, we had a. It was it 35 diocese that were represented in, you know, in Wichita. So, okay. And what was really interesting, my friends, is that there's a common theme that went through the entire gathering and everything else like that. What's happening here? I need help. And that was it. The bottom line was that some of these people are just starting their program again and, uh. They really need the guidelines and you should have seen the, and then we broke out into small groups. And, uh, the last one was on Thursday and they just asked for input. Well, what do you think? How's it, what are you taking away from this conference? And the majority of people said, you know, it was really helpful just to listen to everybody to know this is the key, to know that they're not alone. You know, to, to let them know that, uh, there's help out there. And it's just with this podcast here too, my friends while you're, this is the electronic age and the reason that we're doing this, Kristi and I are, are to share, celebrate the love that we have for our blessed mother and Jesus with everybody else. So if you, if you know of anybody just under. Like notes or something like that. There's always the information for you to, to spread the word, so to speak to everybody. So, yeah. I do have, oh, go ahead. Go ahead. No, that's, sorry. Oh, I do have a, um, I just thought about it 'cause when, earlier when you were talking about the Immaculate Heart of Mary, how she conceived. 'cause Mama Mary was conceived without sin. So in order for. For Jesus to come down and be human. He has to be in a vessel who's free of sin. And that's Mama Mary. Yep. And she's the new, she's the new arc of the covenant. That's the key that she, you have to look at. She's, she carried Jesus for nine months. And, uh, for those of you who are mothers, you know exactly how that feels. And when a guy does it, that's for sure. I mean, he participates too up to a point. But at the same time when Gabriel said, hi Mary, how you doing? And oh, whatever, you know, and then she says Yes, and Gabe loses. Gabe goes away. Then he appears to St. Joseph and Joseph through his vision. Says, okay. And he runs over to us to Mama Marian says, okay, it's okay. And my friends, again, I just, I just reiterate, if you haven't seen the show, Mary of Nazareth put I think through, you just Google it. But it's, it's either by Ascension Press or Ignition Press, uh, see it, uh, it tells the life story of Mary as a child being taken to the. Monastery for her training, as they did in those days. And all the way through the resurrection. And it's only a couple hours long, so Yeah. It's worth the, it's worth the effort and everything else like that. So, yeah. I also wanna share that medically speaking, when a woman is pregnant, of course, like the baby feels, everything the mother feels, they share the same, the same blood, whatever the mother puts in her body. The baby feels it and, um, takes advantage of it. So that's why Mary had, as a vessel, has to be pure for Jesus to I i'm just summarizing things for you in a medical way. Well, yeah, and that's, like I said, as you as mothers, you know, the, the trials and tribulations and, you know. Picture, if you will. This the scenario you're being told by God, guys, get up. Go get that donkey and you're gonna go someplace. Now Mary is probably, maybe seven, eight months old now. Just remember as women, you know, you, oh, wait a minute here, something's, I gotta think about this one. You get into a nice, soft, comfortable car and you drive someplace. Come on guys, this is a junk, a donkey, and you are not, there's no paved robes. And then when you get to your destination, everybody says, nah, there's no room here. But somebody says, Hey, there's room at the, at the manger down below. And that's how Jesus was born. He wasn't born in some sort of. Hilton or anything else like that. No chocolate on the pillow and that was it. So that's our example for all of us. Yeah, just imagine that's hard, being pregnant and then like getting on a donkey and traveling and that is a whole new level. Yeah. Well, and not only that, but you have to have food and Yeah. All those other necessities that's uh. That's done for those things. But the, uh, that, uh, that bottom line there, it says, let us an answer. God's call. Let us make reparation to the emanate heart and prepare our hearts for the coming of the, of the triumph of, of the grace, which is, that's what Mary's been talking about all the time. She just wants, she just say the. You know, it says, it says right here, daily devotion, daily rosary, regular reception of the sacraments, monthly First Fridays meditation on the Mary's virtues and consecrated to the immaculate heart of Mary. That's the basic guidelines. So if you, between, you know, next time if you wanna start that, 'cause we don't have to stall part of it. Five consecutive months going to confession, receiving God holy communion, praying five decades of the rosary, meditating for 15 minutes on the mysteries. So if you miss, if you miss this Saturday, the next first Saturday would be June the sixth. So if you wanna, if you guys wanna put that on your calendar, that would be the first Saturday of June, and then four more Saturdays after that. Yeah. So here's the prayer of our Lady of Mercy. Oh, merciful mother, you who open your heart to all who seek refuge. Wrap us in the mantle of your compassion. When our burdens feel too heavy, be our comfort and strength. Guide us gently towards your son that we may find peace in his mercy and courage in his love. Teach us to forgive as we have been forgiven. To serve as we have been served and to love without measure. Our Lady of the Mercy intercede for us and our needs, protect us in our trials and lead us always toward the light of hope. Amen. Amen. So, um, guess we'll wrap it up for today and then we'll see you guys next week. You wanna close us up with a prayer?
